Dollar General planned in Milton

LAKE MILTON — A northern California Bay area trust has purchased 7.75 vacant acres on Mahoning Avenue in Milton Township for what appears to be a new Dollar General store.

The $1.47 million sale was recorded Jan. 21 with the Mahoning County Auditor’s office. It’s between The Moldanado Family Trust and Diamond BTS Retail LLC, which acquired the property in February 2020 for $108,000, according to the office.

Paperwork shows a building planned for the land as a Dollar General retail store.

It would make the fourth in the area of Milton Township and nearby Newton Falls, where two already exist in the small village. A third is on Grandview Road by Lake Milton.
