Pump prices fall in Ohio; gasoline cheaper in Niles
WARREN — The average price for gasoline across northeast Ohio is 8 cents lower this week at $2.08 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
It’s the same average price in the Warren-Youngstown area and more than in Niles, where the average is $2.05 per gallon.
This time last year in the region the price was $2.50 per gallon.
The national average at $2.18 is the cheapest start to the month of October since 2016. That average is the same as a week ago, 4 cents cheaper than the start of this past September and nearly 50 cents cheaper than last year, according to AAA.
