BRITE to co-host energy summit
WARREN — BRITE Energy Innovators, a clean tech and energy startup accelerator here, will join with Columbus-based 614Startups to co-host an energy summit to help connect businesses in the sectors.
The event Wednesday will feature Lordstown Motors Corp., which plans to start production of its all-electric truck in Lordstown next year, and Hyperion Motors, a southern California-based hydrogen energy company founded by Warren native Angelo Kafantaris. Hyperion recently revealed a hydrogen / electric-powered supercar prototype.
Other companies involved are Brilliency, Li-Ion Tamer and NODIS Smart Glass.
The virtual event also will include a panel discussion on commercializing new technologies featuring industry experts from utilities, corporations, and investors, and individual and interactive group networking sessions.
“This event features not only exciting startups but takes a holistic look into how emerging technologies are commercialized in our changing energy landscape,” BRITE’s client success manager Cole Simon said.
The summit is 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is available at https://hopin.to/events/ones.
