Endurance heads to state capitol
WARREN — Lordstown Motors Corp. will display its all-electric pickup truck, the Endurance, today at the Statehouse in Columbus and discuss the importance of electric-vehicle manufacturing with lawmakers.
Joining Lordstown Motors CEO Steve Burns will be state Sens. Sean J. O’Brien, D-Bazetta, and Michael Rulli, R-Salem; Senate President Larry Obhof, R-Medina; and state Rep. Gil Blair, D-Weathersfield.
The company, which will manufacture the truck at the former General Motors plant in Lordstown starting early next year, announced in August a merger with DiamondPeak Holdings Corp., a special purpose acquisition company. The move infuses $675 million into the company that will become public later this year.
