LOCAL INSURANCE AGENT HONORED: Randy L. Jones of Champion Insurance in Warren was recently recognized for professional leadership and advanced knowledge by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), a leading national insurance professional organization.

He was awarded a certificate marking more than 15 years of participation as a designated CIC, which requires annual completion of advance education and training.

The Society of CIC is a nonprofit organization of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, which is respected throughout the insurance industry for the high standards maintained in the hundreds of institutes conducted annually in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

PIA CAREER FAIR MOVES LOCATION: The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) has moved its career fair Tuesday from its campus to the main terminal of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, 1453 Youngstown Kingsville Road, Vienna.

The event is 9 to 11 a.m. and will feature representatives from several employers for jobs in aviation maintenance.

Companies attending include Air Wisconsin, Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, Bombardier, CommutAir, Constant Aviation, Endeavor Air, GE Aviation, HDI Landing Gear (Heroux DevTek), PSA Airlines, Piedmont Airlines, Republic Airways and SkyWest Airlines.

MOTORCYCLE SHOP GETS NEW OWNER: Youngstown Cycle Supply, 6915 Market St., Boardman, founded in 1969 by Jim Nadasky was recently bought by longtime customer Adam Pratt. Pratt is expanding by adding custom painting and airbrushing while also keeping motorcycle parts and service under the new name, Youngstown Cycle and Speed.

The store also will offer custom made steel cut-out signs.

URGENT CARE CENTER OPENS: QuickMed Urgent Care, 3499 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, is locally owned and developed to fill in the gaps in access to medical care in Trumbull County. The site is equipped with digital x-ray, onsite lab services and can treat people of all ages.

The center also offers occupational health through partnering with local employers and employees to fulfill physical work requirements and drug screenings.

DOCTOR JOINS LOCAL HOSPITAL SYSTEM: Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Steward Medical Group have added Dr. Anthony Russo,who is board-certified in internal medicine. He has a clinical interest in sports medicine and geriatric care, and will rotate as a hospitalist at the medical center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital.

Russo completed an internal medicine residency with Western Reserve Health Education, a Steward teaching affiliate, and is now a member of Steward Medical Group. He is accepting new patients at Steward Primary Care, Mahoning County, 1450 S. Canfield Niles Road, Austintown.
