Casino revenue rises in August

WARREN — Revenue at Ohio’s four casinos in August was $71.4 million, up slightly more than $1 million, or 1.5 percent, from July, according to the Ohio Casino Commission.

Revenue also rose in a year-to-year comparison for last month. It was up $1.1 million, or 1.6 percent, from the $70.3 million the casinos posted in August 2018.

Table games last month generated $21.3 million in revenue and slot revenue was $50 million compared to $22.4 million and $47.9 million in July. In August 2018, table games generated $22.8 million and slots, $47.4 million, according to the commission.

The four casinos in Ohio are Jack Cleveland Casino, Jack Cincinnati Casino, Hollywood Casino Toledo and Hollywood Casino Columbus.
