Dominion Energy’s rates down 12 percent in July
WARREN — Dominion Energy’s standard choice offer and standard service offer rates will be $2.51 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf) in July. That’s down 34 cents, or 12 percent, from the June rates of $2.85, according to the company.
The July rates are 55 cents, or 18 percent, less than the July 2018 rate of $3.08 per Mcf.
The average residential customer’s residential bill for July would be $36.47, up 52 cents, or 1.4 percent from July 2018, according to its filing with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. The slight increase in the monthly bill is due to a $1.51 increase in Dominion’s pipeline infrastructure replacement cost that went into effect in May, a company spokesman said.
