Local gas prices drop
WARREN — Motorists in the Warren-Youngstown and Niles areas can expect to pay less at the pump this week.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Warren-Youngstown is $2.60, down 12 cents from last week, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. In Niles, the price is $2.49 per gallon, down 22 cents from last week.
The average across northeast Ohio is $2.53, down 23 cents over the same period. The average this time last year was $2.76 per gallon.
The national average is $2.74, which is 7 cents cheaper than last week, 13 cents less than a month ago and 18 cents cheaper than a year ago, according to AAA.
