Farmers releases earnings for first quarter 2019

CANFIELD — Farmers National Bancorp ended the first three months of 2019 with a net income of $8.4 million, or 30 cents per diluted share, which compares to $7.7 million or 28 cents per diluted share for the first quarter of 2018.

The return on average assets and return on average equity were 1.45 and 12.71 percent respectively for the quarter compared to 1.45 and 13.03 percent for the same three months in 2018.

The company also reported a 29 percent increase in cash dividends to shareholders, from 7 cents in the first quarter of 2018 to 9 cents in 2019.
