APOSTOLAKIS ‘TOP RATED’ HONDA DEALER: Apostolakis Honda in Bazetta was recently named a top-rated dealer by consumer car shopping website CarGurus.

The annual awards are presented to a select group of car dealerships that have received the highest average ratings from shoppers who have submitted dealership reviews on the CarGurus platform.

CarGurus uses shoppers’ dealership ratings as well as comprehensive valuation analytics to help shoppers search their local marketplace and find great car deals from top-rated dealers.

MAHONING VALLEY ENGINEER OF YEAR NAMED: Mark Peters, general manager and director of engineering at Fireline Inc., was named Engineer of the Year April 3 at a ceremony to celebrate Global Day of the Engineer. It was held at the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center in downtown Warren.

Peters has more than 30 years in managing research and development, engineering and product innovation in the material science field and engineering.

Also recognized were Ashley Totin, project engineer at American Makes for best young professional; Rachel Lindesmith, general supervisor for engineering at Ohio Edison and Penn Power, distinguished female engineer; and Randy Partika, program manager and development engineer at the Western Reserve Port Authority, community impact.

TRUMBULL TOURISM BUREAU LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE: The Trumbull County Tourism Bureau has a new website, www.exploretrumbullcounty.com, that highlights a wide array of attractions and activities in the county.

Visitors and residents can find details on lodging, things to do, area events and more. The new site also allows potential visitors to choose to receive communication from the bureau through several ways, including an electronic newsletter, downloadable brochures, Facebook, Instagram and email.

In addition, the new Trumbull County visitors guide is available, providing potential visitors with travel ideas along with listings of sites around the county.

BANK DONATES TO WARRIORS INC.: Home Savings in Youngstown has given $2,000 to Warriors Inc. to help the organization with its 15th annual “Unity in the Community” parade.

The parade, according to the organization, brings communities together to create awareness of agencies and resources to promote healthier and happier families. Young people are also showcased through music, including bands, community or school choirs, ensembles, poetry and dance.

CHAMPION INSURANCE RECOGNIZED: Champion Insurance, 4741 Mahoning Ave. NW, has been awarded senior partner status by Grange Insurance. The agencies to get the honor are part of a top-tier division of Grange agency partners that have excelled in customer service and overall agency performance.

Of more than 4,000 independent agencies, Champion Insurance was among 124 that received the award this year.

FARMERS EXPANDS TEAM: Canfield-based Farmers National Bank has grown its mortgage-lending team with the addition of mortgage loan consultant Eric Boulton to the bank’s office in Lodi.

Boulton, with 13 years of experience in home lending, specializes, in part, in first-time home buyers, construction loans and renovation loans.
