Police chase follows shots fired on SW side

WARREN — Warren police chased a black Chevrolet Cobalt Wednesday evening that allegedly was the source of about three to five rounds being fired near the intersection of Oak Street and Nevada Avenue SW.

According to a Trumbull County 911 report, police found the vehicle westbound on Union Street and chased it through southwest side neighborhoods, with speeds topping out about 85 mph. The chase ended when the vehicle was last seen on state Route 5 westbound, the report states.

A resident in the 1700 block of Oak Street noticed a bullet hole going through her back door, the report states. Police said no one was injured in the incident.

Three shell casings were recovered in the area of Nevada and Oak, the report states.
