JCC offers stage combat class for children
A class on “Stage Combat: Swashbucklers & Swords” for children ages 8 to 13 will be offered in March at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane.
This course is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for participants to learn the fundamentals of stage combat. Students will learn basic techniques, sword handling and choreography to bring thrilling, realistic fights to the stage.
It meets at 6:30 p.m. Mondays from March 3 to 24 and will prepare students for JCC’s theater camp production “A Pirate’s Life for JCC.” The cost is $8 for members and $64 for non-members, and registration is required by Feb. 24 at jccyoungstown.org/youth.
