Dana presents annual holiday concert
YOUNGSTOWN — Dana School of Music serves up seasonal selections and warm beverages with its annual Carols & Cocoa and Dana Holiday Concert at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
The evening starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Jeanne D. Tyler Ballroom and will feature performances of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” by the Brass Quintet, “Marche” by the Flute Ensemble and “O Christmas Tree” by the Dana Chorale.
Hot cocoa will be served in the lobby at intermission, after which the music moves to the concert hall.
The program there includes “A Christmas Festival” by the YSU Wind Ensemble, “God Rest Ye Merry Hepcats” by the Saxophone Quartet, “Frosty the Snowman” by the Trombone Ensemble and a performance of “The Many Moods of Christmas” Suite III featuring the Dana Chorale and singers from the Hickory High School chamber singers and Stambaugh Chorus.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and free for children ages 12 and younger and YSU students with a valid ID.
