Oktoberfest returns to Courthouse Square

The Trumbull County Historical Society will turn downtown Warren’s Courthouse Square into a German biergarten for its annual Oktoberfest.

This year’s event will feature an expanded beer lineup with more than 10 different brews from Modern Methods Brewing Company, Noble Creature Cask House, Birdfish Brewing Co., Palladin Brewing Co., Unhitched Brewing Co. and Aeonian Brewing Co.

The Youngstown Saxon Club Band will provide live music, and other activities include face painting, gingerbread decorating, pony rides, an ax-throwing trailer and grape stomping competitions for children and adults.

Food donations are provided by The Saratoga Restaurant, Cockeye BBQ, Mijavec’s Catering, The Mocha House and the Underground Lounge

The event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday downtown. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door for adults, and admission includes a buffet of German fare (including brats, sauerkraut, spaetzel, German potato salad and pretzels) and two drink tickets. Tickets are $15 for those ages 12 to 20, and children 11 and younger are admitted free.

For tickets or more information, call the Trumbull County Historical Society at 330-394-4653 or email info@trumbullcountyhistory.org.
