Trumbull Tourism attracts national nomination again

For the second year in a row, the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau is nominated for a national award from the U.S. Travel Association.

The bureau won a Destiny and Mercury Award in 2021 in the category of printed collateral material, and it is nominated in the same category this year, competing against destination marketing organizations throughout the U.S.

According to Beth Kotwis Carmichael, executive director of Trumbull County Tourism, “It’s an honor to be a finalist for the second year in a row. I love this opportunity to have our marketing work recognized among other larger destinations. It’s a testament to the hard work and passion our team, board and partners puts into promoting our ‘Truly Trumbull’ experiences to a larger audience.”

The U.S. Travel Association created the awards to increase tourism engagement and allow for sharing best practices and inspiration. Trumbull County Tourism was the only Ohio destination selected as a finalist in any category.

The winners will be announced Tuesday at the Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations.
