Exhibit features cardboard, Sharpie art

Art created with two common household items will be displayed in an exhibition opening Friday at downtown Warren’s Art on Park.

“Sharpies & Cardboard” is a nonjuried show open to two- and three-dimensional works that incorporated cardboard and / or permanent markers.

According to curator David Wheeler, the show was designed to celebrate the art created with the very accessible mediums.

Participating artists include Joyce Newell, Aaron Newell, Bonnie Loomis, Timothy Milliner, Yuki Fritz, Novi Fritz, Sebastian Fritz, Pete Vouvounas, Nikki Puccini, Jeffrey Puccini, Linda Clark, Stacy Rubinic, Jeff Vargo, Ellis Smith, Garrett Smith, Debbie Darrenbacher, Carmen Denno, Heather Seno, Steph Blair, James Shuttic, Sara Lee and Dovey Wuvey.

“Sharpies & Cardboard” will open with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Art on Park, 180 N. Park Ave., Warren. Admission is free.
