Six Mahoning concerts start ticket sales Friday

The summer concert schedule is filling up with two grandstand concerts at the Canfield Fair, and three more shows on sale this week for the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre.

Canfield Fair concerts are: Darius Rucker, 8 p.m. Sept. 5, $39.50 to $125; Shinedown, 7 p.m. Sept. 6, $35 to $95. Both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.

Coming to the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre will be: Counting Crows, 7 p.m. Aug. 10, $40-$125; I Love the ’90s Tour featuring Vanilla Ice, All-4-One, C+C Music Factory and Rob Base, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 14; Brett Young, Ryan Hurd and Fillmore, 8 p.m. Sept. 23, $35-$59.75. All three go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster.

Joe Bonamassa returns to the Covelli Centre at 8 p.m. Nov. 27. Tickets range from $72 to $202 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster.

Other shows on sale this week are:

• Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica will host King Crimson and The Zappa Band 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 (on sale at noon Friday through Live Nation) and Quinn XCII and Chelsea Cutler at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 (on sale at 9 a.m. Friday through Live Nation).

• The Tri-C Jazz Fest is planning two evenings of concerts at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. The lineup 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11 includes Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Dominick Farinacci, Ernie Krivda, Christian Sands and Lakecia Benjamin. Performers starting 2 p.m. Sept. 12 include Banda Magda, Catherine Russell, Emmet Cohen Trio, Bria Skonberg and Marquis Hill. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. today through Ticketmaster.

• Newsboys, forced to cancel its appearance at Stambaugh Auditorium at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, will perform 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster.

• Soul singer Charlie Wilson will do two shows 8 p.m. Sept. 4-5 at the MGM Northfield Park, which also has the Alan Parsons Live Project booked 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.

• Roxian Theatre outside of Pittsburgh returns with a vengeance with more than a dozen shows going on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster: Shakey Graves, 7 p.m. Aug. 25; Todd Snider, 7 p.m. Aug. 28; Avatar, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8; Dawes, Erin Rae, 7 p.m. Sept. 23; Larkin Poe, 7 p.m. Oct. 10; Princess Nokia, 7 p.m. Oct. 19; Andrew McMahon, 7 p.m. Nov. 5; Surfaces, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7; Jinjer, Suicide Silence, All Hail the Yeti, 6 p.m. Nov. 14; Atreyu, 5 p.m. Nov. 19; Anti-Flag, 5 p.m. Nov. 20; Caribou, 7 p.m. Nov. 26; Sullivan King, 8 p.m. Dec. 18; Motion City Soundtrack, 6 p.m. Jan. 9; Cory and the Wongnotes featuring Antwaun Stanley, Sierra Hull, 7 p.m. Jan. 29; Apocalyptica, 7 p.m. April 29.

• Three shows go on sale Friday through AXS for Stage AE in Pittsburgh: Kevin Gates, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24; CHVVRCHES, Donna Missal, 7 p.m. Nov. 22; Theory of a Deadman, 10 Years, 6:30 p.m. Nov.23.

• Cleveland’s House of Blues adds four shows going on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Live Nation: Avatar, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9; Dr. Dog, 7 p.m. Sept. 26; Airborne Toxic Event, 7 p.m. Oct. 20; Surfaces, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12.
