JCC offers art therapy event
The Paul and Yetta Gluck School of Visual Arts at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will offer expressive art therapy at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
In this workshop for caregivers and children, participants will create a spooky sculptural pumpkin. The focus will be on nonverbal communication and self-expression through a combination of art instruction and intuitive and mindful activities. Refreshments will be served.
This program is for children ages 5 to 9 accompanied by at least one parent or caregiver. The cost is $10 for JCC members and $15 for nonmembers. Go to jccyoungstown.com/visualarts to register.
