Two programs are scheduled Sunday at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.

“Packard Electric: Electrical Workers & Labor History 1899-1997” at noon will chronicle the history of Packard Electric, which started in the 1890s and became one of Warren’s most dynamic and progressive companies. From a few dozen employees, it grew into an industrial behemoth with nearly 15,000 employees in Warren in the early 1970s.

“Building Packard: Autoworkers & Labor History (1899-1958)” at 1:30 p.m. will cover how Packard autoworkers were on the frontline of the early 20th century labor movement, including the machinist strike of 1901, the recognition of the United Automobile Workers union in 1937, and the shocking termination of their pension plan in 1958.
