‘Beauty and the Beast’ opens in Boardman

The Oakland Center for the Arts and its Kids First Theatre Initiative will stage “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” for a two-weekend run starting Friday.

Adapted from the French fairy tale, the stage version is based on the Oscar-winning animated film and includes such songs as “Be Our Guest,” “Belle” and the title song from the movie, as well as songs written especially for the stage.

Brendan Byers directs a cast featuring Taylor Perline, Ben Doss, Michael Macciomei, George Maillis, Brennan Gorby, Caroline Capuzello, Ava Livesay, Alexa McCaughty, Olivia Garland, Nicholas McGoogan, Cameron Keffer, Dante Marsco, Madelyn Sipusic, Halo Fellows, Jake Platt, Hannah Harntovsky, Luciano Marsco, Nick Doss, Isabella Carvin, Keeley Sprague, Logan Pauley, Anya Carvin, Noah Babyak, Gordon Moore, Zak Sargent, Carina Garland, Monica Moore, Adalyn Sprague, McKenna Sprague, Tori Dunham, Molly Gerchak, Andrew Babyak, Kennedy Reynolds, Addison Goche, Samantha Garland, Addison Jupp, Erica Kovach, James Matig, Addie Sanders, Christina Woods, Nate Garland, Ashlyn Young, Regan Shay, Carly Frommelt, Brylee Rutludge, Rachel Frost, Justin Clollingwood, Mariah Sharpe, Jackie McKinley, Caleb Woods, Cayleigh Woods, Dante Pass, Macy Rodgers, Jessica Collingwood, Julia Gorby, Jacklyn McKinley, Lena Dunha, Maia Polewchak, Sofia Sandberg, Isabella Sandberg, Avery Munford and Kate Lidde.

“Beauty and the Beast” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday through Aug. 18 at Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave., Boardman. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students, with children 4 and younger admitted free. Tickets are available online at oaklandcenter.info and at the door.
