Brett Eldredge, Rob Thomas booked at Youngstown amphitheater

YOUNGSTOWN — Two more shows have been added to the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre lineup.

Brett Eldredge, who has headlined at the Covelli Centre, will play at the new venue Aug. 2. The platinum-selling artist currently has a top 10 country hit with “Love Someone.” Five previous Eldredge songs topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart — “Don’t Ya,” “Beat of the Music,” “Mean to Me,” “Lose My Mind” and “Wanna Be That Song.”

Tickets range from $37.50 to $69.50.

Rob Thomas brings his Chip Tooth tour to the venue Sept. 5. “Chip Tooth Smile” is the fourth solo album for the Matchbox Twenty frontman and includes the lead single “One Less Day (Dying Young).”

As a solo artist, Thomas’ hits include “Lonely No More,” “This Is How a Heart Breaks,” “Streetcorner Symphony” and “Her Diamonds.” He also sang lead vocals on Santana’s “Smooth,” which won three Grammy Awards for record of the year, song of the year and best pop collaboration with vocals.

Max Frost will open. Tickets range from $33.50 to $100.50.

Both shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Southwoods Health box office at the Covelli Centre and through Ticketmaster.
