Youth theater stages final show with ‘Robin Hood’

Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre stages “Robin Hood” as its final production of its 2018-19 season.

Director Jim Canacci adapted the classic tale of England’s outlaw bandit that was passed down for centuries. Lake Baum provides a music score comprised of traditional folk songs from the story’s era as well as modern pop songs reimagined in medieval style. Danielle Jackson serves as stage manager.

The cast features John Monroe as Robin Hood and Eden Grace Lesnansky as his beloved Maid Marian. Adam Jackson is the Sheriff of Nottingham, Jonathan Bahrey is Little John, McKenna Lago is Will Scarlet, Kenny Day is Allan-a-Dale, Carter Bates is Friar Tuck and Dave Wolford appears as King Richard.

The rest of the cast includes Spencer Humphreys, Hannah Boyle, Faith White, Lorie Barber, Aidan Tomhaye, Nicole Barber, Maeve Law, Francesca Madison, Lillian Gerst, Brenden Conley, Harper Liller, Mikey Zoccali, Jordan Jackson, Kellen Hetzel, Lucy Papini and Payton Boyle.

Public performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Tickets are $13 adults and $9 for children 12 and younger, and are available online at wwwtheyoungstown and by calling 330-788-8739.
