Veteran press agent Susan L. Schulman will be the next speaker in the 2018-19 Trumbull Town Hall lecture series.

In her 30-plus years as a theatrical press agent, Schulman has worked on such productions as “Applause” (starring Lauren Bacall), “Death of a Salesman” (George C. Scott), “Dancin'” (Bob Fosse), “Requiem for a Heavyweight” (John Lithgow, George Segal) and “Death and the Maiden” (Glenn Close, Richard Dreyfus, Gene Hackman).

Her clients have included Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba, Carlin Glynn and Brian Stokes Mitchell, as well as Broadway and soap opera stars Ron Raines and Scott Holmes.

Schulman also served as director of press information for CBS in New York and headed the publicity departments for the USA and A&E cable networks.

She chronicles her career in the 2013 memoir “Backstage Pass to Broadway,” where she shares stories of working with Mary Martin, Yul Brynner, Robert Redford, David Merrick, Raul Julia, Zero Mostel, Vanessa Redgrave, Henry Winkler, Lesley Ann Warren, Katharine Hepburn, Bacall, Scott, Close and Fosse. Schulman’s book will be available for purchase at the lecture.

The program starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $35 and are available through Ticketmaster and at the Packard box office.
