Chrysalis stages ‘West Side Story’

“West Side Story” will be the first production staged by Chrysalis Stage Advanced Performing Arts Conservatory.

The Leonard Bernstein / Stephen Sondheim / Arthur Laurents musical, based on Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” will feature about two dozen students in grades 8 to 12 from Brookfield and Howland, and from Sharon, West Middlesex, Sharpsville and Hermitage, Pa., as well as one Youngstown State University student.

It will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Jan. 24 to 26 and 3 p.m. Sunday and Jan. 27 at Armory of the Arts, 49 S. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, Pa. Tickets are $35 for VIP seating, $20 for adult general admission and $18 for senior citizens and military and are available online at thechrysalisstage.org and by calling 866-967-8167.
