Gensburg’s 52nd

Anniversary

Due to the pandemic in 2020, Bart and Judi Gensburg were unable to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. So recently, they celebrated “52 in ’22.”

They received by more than 100 guests at the celebration at the Hippodrome, downtown Warren.

Bart and the former Judi Giovannone were married April 25, 1970, in Newton Falls.

Judi was a 1965 graduate of Newton Falls High School and attended Kent State University. She worked at Packard Electric, Disability Mobility and Chester’s Dental before retiring. She teaches piano and bell choir.

Bart graduated in 1962 from Newton Falls and also attended KSU. He was in the Army Air Defense, and spent most of his tour of duty traveling around the United States singing in the army Air Defense Choral Group.

He worked at Standard Steel Springs, Rockwell Standard, Allside Aluminum and the Ravenna Arsenal, and retired after 42 years from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown as a die maker.

He teaches and coaches volleyball, and scraps for the Boy Scouts.

The couple have four children, Julie (Dave) Sawall of Appleton; Windi (Mato) Kresic of Lordstown; Bobbi Marsh of Warrenton, Mo.; and Bret (Rachel) Gensburg of Mineral Ridge. They also have six grandchildren.
