Susanna Malacky and John Verhovnik were united in marriage during an Orthodox wedding ceremony Jan. 4, 2020, at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Warren. The ceremony was officiated by the Very Rev. Jonathan Cholcher.
Guests were received after the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom at the Avalon Inn in Howland.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Ellen Malacky of Warren. Parents of the groom are John and Kari Verhovnik of The Villages, Fla.
Christine and Anthony DiGiacobbe serve as the couple’s sponsor (Nasi).
Becca Currington attended the bride as maid of honor. Performing the duties of best man for the groom was Alex Roy.
The new Mrs. Verhovnik is a 2015 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and the John Glenn College at The Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in public policy and management. She is employed as the community relations coordinator for the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
A 2013 graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, Mr. Verhovnik also graduated from The Ohio State University, with a bachelor’s degree in operations and logistics management at the Fisher College of Business. He is employed as a senior supply chain consultant at PocureAbility.
Following a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Westerville.
