GOLDEN STREET SINGERS: Golden Street Singers Charles and Brenda Jarvis will bring special music to the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at McKinley Community Church, 1524 Elm Road NW, Warren. Following the service will be the annual covered dish picnic at the home of Kevin and Chulai Trumbull. Pastor David Lyons also conducts Bible study at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
OUTDOOR CONCERT: Guiding Light Presbyterian Church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard, will host a free outdoor concert with the band Cruise Control at 2 p.m. July 27. The band will perform a variety of music, including classic rock, alternative rock, oldies and country rock. Free refreshments will be served, Bring a lawn chair. Band members include Gary Holbrook, Dave Augustine, John D’Amico, Steve Hamerik and Liz Wilson.
SHELTER DEDICATION: Bazetta Christian Church, 4131 Bazetta Road, will host a prayer shelter dedication at 10 a.m. Sunday and a Habitat for Humanity recognition at 10 a.m. July 27.
CHURCH TO HOLD FINAL SERVICE: The Hungarian Presbyterian Church, 745 Mahoning Ave. in Youngstown, will close its doors with the final service set Aug. 3. The Rev. Rebecca Kahnt will perform the final service with Holy Communion at 3 p.m. Services will continue at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday through Aug. 3.
LABYRINTH SCHEDULE: The Ursuline Sisters Mission, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, will begin its 15th year of guided labyrinth walks. This year’s overarching theme is “Pilgrims of Hope” in honor of the Jubilee Year 2025. All persons of faith are invited to participate in these free, weather-permitting events. Walks take about a half hour and are set at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 19. Printed guides are found at the labyrinth’s entrance, giving suggestions for following the path. CHURCH CONCERT: Grace Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren, will host the Cortland Community Band in concert on the lawn at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Those attending the free event can bring a lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside the church.
FULLY KNOWN: The Diocese of Youngstown’s third annual young adult summer festival “ARISE” will take place 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 26 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 4659 state Route 46 in Cortland. This year’s theme is “Fully Known.” The event is for young adults ages 18 to 39 from all six counties across the diocese who will gather for a day of worship, encounter, substantial theology and authentic community. The day includes keynote and internationally known Catholic speaker, Bobby Angel. There will be discussion, food, outdoor games and activities, and a bonfire. Cost is $40 in advance and $60 the day of the event.
