PRAYER VIGIL AND RALLY: The United Pastors, Clergy and Community Leaders Against the Violence will host a kickoff Stop the Violence community prayer vigil and rally at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hillman Street parking lot of New Bethel Baptist Church, 1524 Hillman St,, Youngstown. Gathering time will be 12:30 pm. Pastors and clergy from various churches in the community will be present to pray for the Stop the Violence campaign as well as praying for peace in the city streets. In the event of rain, the prayer vigil and rally will be moved inside the L.A. Simon Social Service Center adjacent to New Bethel Baptist Church.

CHURCH 125TH ANNIVERSARY: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy Sunday. The liturgy will be celebrated by his Eminence, Metropolitan Archbishop William C. Skurla, with responses sung by the Pittsburgh Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy Choir. The procession of clergy will be at 3 p.m.

JOINT SERVICE: Bazetta Christian Church will host a joint outdoor worship service with Champion Christian Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Bazetta. This is the last day of the Trumbull County Fair.

CHURCH PLANS REUNION: Austintown Community Church’s former preschool staff is planning a reunion for anyone who worked at the preschool. The reunion is noon to 4 p.m. July 19. For information, contact Cindy at 330-550-2410 or cellashek@roadrunner.com

LABYRINTH SCHEDULE: The Ursuline Sisters Mission, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, will begin its 15th year of guided labyrinth walks. This year’s overarching theme is “Pilgrims of Hope” in honor of the Jubilee Year 2025. All persons of faith are invited to participate in these free, weather-permitting events. Walks take about a half hour and are set at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 19. Printed guides are found at the labyrinth’s entrance, giving suggestions for following the path. CHURCH CONCERT: Grace Methodist Church in Warren will host the Cortland Community Band in concert on the lawn at 7 p.m. July 23. Those attending the free event can bring a lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside the church.

FULLY KNOWN: The Diocese of Youngstown’s third annual young adult summer festival “ARISE” will take place 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 26 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 4659 state Route 46 in Cortland. This year’s theme is “Fully Known.” The event is for young adults ages 18 to 39 from all six counties across the diocese who will gather for a day of worship, encounter, substantial theology and authentic community. The day includes keynote and internationally known Catholic speaker, Bobby Angel. There will be discussion, food, outdoor games and activities, and a bonfire. Cost is $40 in advance and $60 the day of the event.
