COVID-19 CLINIC: The Warren City Health District will be providing a public COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Warren City Health District, 258 E. Market St., Warren. No appointment needed. For more information call: 330-841-2596.
WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Community Volunteer Council will be hosting the Warren City Health District’s Wellness on Wheels mobile health unit at its weekly food giveaway, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at 1642 W Market St., Warren. For more information call 330-841-2596.
DIABETES BASICS: McKinley Memorial Library will offer Diabetes Basics and Screening from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the McKinley Birthplace Home.
Stephanie Oakes of Mercy Health Youngstown will define diabetes and pre-diabetes, explain risk factors and symptoms, and provide tips for prevention. Following the discussion, there will be a diabetes risk assessment and an optional glucose/cholesterol screening. Registration is required at 330-652-1704, ext. 3.
OSTOMY SUPPORT: The Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 11, at the Tibbetts Wick homecare office, 979 Tibbetts Wick Road, Suite A, Girard.
The group offers education, encouragement and support to anyone whose life is affected by an ostomy.

NAR-ANON GROUP TO MEET: NAR-ANON Family Group meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Girard. NAR-ANON was established to give support and hope to those who have a friend or loved one suffering from addiction. Call 330-770-4576.
ADDICTION HELP MEETINGS: SMART Recovery’s four-point program is the organization’s flagship secular program serving those with addictive behavior, including both substance and activity / process addictions. Trained volunteer facilitators lead mutual support group discussions 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday on topics such as building and maintaining motivation, coping with urges and cravings, managing thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and living a balanced life.
Related tools consistent with evidence-based motivational and cognitive behavioral theories are also offered and discussed.

FOOT CLINIC: Warren SCOPE Senior Citizen Center, 375 N. Park Ave., Warren, is teaming up with Reliable Nurse Foot Care to provide a mobile clinic foot care service on the third Tuesday of every other month.
Foot care services provided by appointment include general foot assessment, nail trimming, nail filing, rough skin filing and foot care education and recommendations. SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS: The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter makes Alzheimer’s caregiver support groups available for free to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one affected by the disease or another form of dementia.

PLATINUM HEALTH: ONE Health Ohio launched Platinum Health at its Lloyd McCoy, Warren, location to combine medical, dental, behavioral health, physical therapy and other services in one location.
