HEALTH DISTRICT VACCINES: The Warren City Health District, 258 E. Market St., is offering walk-in Wednesdays for the public to get the COVID-19 vaccine and other immunizations, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. each week. No appointment is necessary.

The Pfizer vaccine is available for those 12 and older and the Moderna vaccine is available to those 18 and older.

ALZHEIMER’S GROUPS: The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter makes Alzheimer’s caregiver support groups available free to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one affected by the disease or another form of dementia.

VACCINE CLINICS OPEN: Mercy Health-Youngstown has opened two new vaccine clinics to increase access to the community.

The Pfizer vaccine will be offered at Mercy Health-Wick Primary Care at Youngstown State University, 330 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for ages 5 and older.

The Moderna vaccine will be available at Mercy Health-Howland Medical Center, 1932 Niles Cortland SE, Warren. Vaccines at this site will be available for anyone 18 and older.

Both clinics will be open weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each site will also offer both first and second doses as well as booster doses. DUAL-DIAGNOSIS CONNECTIONS: NAMI Mahoning Valley announces a new weekly Connections support group for adults dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues. Led by a NAMI-trained individual who is living in mental health and substance abuse recovery, the group meets 6 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the Community Center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.

ST. JOE’S AT THE MALL: St. Joe’s at the Eastwood Mall will hold fall hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All classes are open to anyone with a St. Joe’s at the Mall membership.
