ASAP RALLY: The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention ninth annual Rally for Recovery will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastwood Field in Niles, with games, prizes, a scavenger hunt and more. A recovery walk is scheduled at 1 p.m. Walker registration opens at 11 a.m. Awards will be presented to the largest family, agency and recovery house walk teams.
The Trumbull County Combined Health District will provide a $100 gift card to everyone who gets a free COVID-19 vaccination at the event.
The event will feature “rock and recovery” music from the Summit FM, educational materials about recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, cornhole and other games, a selfie booth, Chinese auction, an addiction memorial and free lunch. Masks are required.
ASAP, a project of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, is a coalition that engages in strategic partnerships to solve the community’s substance abuse problems. ASAP membership is free and open to the public.

GLENBEIGH OFFERS FREE VIRTUAL SUPPORT: Glenbeigh Outpatient Center of Niles, 29 North Road, Niles, continues to offer Bridges to Recovery discussions through a series of Zoom events. Virtual sessions are free.

ST. JOE’S AT THE MALL: St. Joe’s at Eastwood Mall’s summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, next to JCPenney and Kay Jewelers. All classes are open to anyone with a St. Joe’s at the Mall membership. Screenings and programs are open to the public. Some classes are by registration only due to social distancing guidelines.
