DINING WITH DIABETES: The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is offering “Virtual Dining with Diabetes” throughout May.

Viewers will learn how to incorporate good, healthy cooking techniques and other practices to help control blood sugar through the cooking school and nutrition education program designed for people with diabetes and their family members or caregivers.

ST. JOE’S AT THE MALL: St. Joe’s at Eastwood Mall’s hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, next to JCPenney and Kay Jewelers. All classes are open to anyone with a St. Joe’s at the Mall membership. Screenings and programs are open to the public. All classes are by registration only due to social-distancing guidelines. VACCINE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers with various medical licenses who are actively practicing or are retired with an active license are highly encouraged to support response efforts to the COVID-19 vaccination program by signing up for the Mahoning County Medical Reserve Corps. Nonmedical adult volunteers are needed to assist and can sign up also.

To join, visit www.ohioresponds.odh.ohio.gov. Medical providers can enroll to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Any facility licensed by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to administer or provide vaccination services is eligible to enroll as a potential COVID-19 vaccine provider.

GLENBEIGH OFFERS FREE VIRTUAL SUPPORT: Glenbeigh Outpatient Center of Niles, 29 North Road, Niles, as part of its response to the limitations placed on social interactions, is offering its Bridges to Recovery discussions through a series of Zoom events.

Join Glenbeigh for online recovery support with other people in recovery with alcohol and drug addictions. These virtual sessions are free and open to the entire recovery community.
