Honey Harvest

When: 3 p.m. Tuesday

What: Join us to talk about how Stickie Goodness does honey harvest. Kristen Eisenhauer, Mahoning County Extension educator, will discuss everything from stealing the frames from the hive to bottling.

Humans, Wildlife: Landscape Change, Wildlife Adaptation and Human Influence

When: 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9

What: People have changed Ohio’s landscape since the time of the earliest land surveys in the late 1700s. Wildlife was affected by these changes and some species have responded and adapted to urban (developed) areas. Learn how and why wildlife thrive, understand human influence and learn how to prevent human-wildlife conflict.

Take Charge of Your Diabetes this Holiday

When: 11 a.m. Wednesday

What: Join Marie Economos and Beth Stefura, family and consumer sciences educators from OSU Extension, to learn the basics of diabetes management as well as tips on making better choices and staying motivated. The same class will also be held 5 p.m. Nov. 18, 11 a.m. Dec. 14 and 5 p.m. Dec. 16.

Greenhouse

Gardening

What: Greenhouse gardening is a presentation about items to consider when building a greenhouse, sample construction, heating and cooling your greenhouse and managing any pest infestations. The PowerPoint presentation will include many pictures and links to other sources for more information.
