Soil Amendments for Gardeners

When: 10 a.m. Tuesday

What: Participants will learn about different types of mulch and how to apply it, how compost improves the soil and how to incorporate compost into the soil. They also will learn about organic and inorganic fertilizers, formulations, applications, and how to read fertilizer labels.

Naturalist Series: Managing deer in Ohio

When: 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19

What: Learn about deer in Ohio, the process for setting population management goals, an overview of tools used to achieve management goals, deer herd condition and disease updates, management challenges, and a question-and-answer session.
