IMMUNIZATION CLINIC: The Warren Health District, 258 E. Market St., Warren, will hold child immunization clinics 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 5 and 19. A special clinic day is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 28.

All clinics are walk-ins with no appointment necessary. An updated shot record for each visit is required. A $21.25 administration fee is charged. Medicaid is accepted and participants are asked to bring an insurance card.

MENTAL SELF-HELP: Recovery International, a self-help mental health group, will meet 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at Christ Church Presbyterian Church, 1933 Canfield Road.

MEDITATION PRESENTATION: A free introductory public presentation on the transcendental meditation technique will be offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Ashtabula YMCA, 263 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

TM is unique, not religious in nature and practiced 20 minutes morning and evening, sitting comfortably with eyes closed. No lifestyle change is required.

OSTOMY SUPPORT: The Youngstown area ostomy support group will meet 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, 8401 Market St., Boardman. This is a nonprofit, self-help support group and family and friends are welcome to attend. Guest speakers will be Dr. Robert Ricchiuti of the Urology Associates and Dr. Gregory Huang, a trauma / general surgeon.

ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUPS: The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter makes Alzheimer’s caregiver support groups available free, open to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one affected by any form of dementia.

• North Jackson — 2 p.m. third Monday, Antonine Sisters Adult Day Center, 2675 North Lipkey Road;

WALK AND TALK: Members of the Kent State Trumbull Student Nurses Association recently launched Walk and Talk with a Nurse program at Niles Wellness Center. Students join members of the Wellness Center from 9 to 11 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of every month in a variety of physical activities. During activities, members are encouraged to talk and ask questions about health.

GRIEF RECOVERY GROUPS: Grief Recovery instructional support groups meet 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home Care Center, next to the funeral home, 709 N. Main St., Hubbard. Groups are led by Philip Roland and open to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
