Ahlfield – Goffos
Kristine Leigh Ahlfield and Christopher Lloyd Goffos were married during a wedding ceremony Jan. 30, 2016, at St. Joseph’s on Capitol Hill Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. Deacon Ryan Pineda officiated.
A reception was held for the couple at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry Ahlfield of St. Louis, Mo., and Dorothy Ahlfield of Fort Madison, Iowa. Parents of the groom are Dan and Mary Goffos of Cortland.
Brittani Patterson attended the bride as matron of honor. Daniel Goffos Jr., brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man. They were joined by bridesmaids and groomsmen who are friends of the couple, including Alexa Goffos, sister of the groom.
The new Mrs. Goffos is a graduate of Iowa State University, having earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science with a minor in journalism. She is employed as a Digital Strategy Associate at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Goffos is a graduate of Lakeview High School and Ashland University, were he earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history with minors in philosophy and music. He is employed as assistant director, faculty division, at The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies in Washington, D.C.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
