Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stoneman celebrated their 50th anniversary at a party hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Bruce Jones, and granddaughters, Lindsey and Lauren.
Dick Stoneman, son of Ralph and Josephine Stoneman of West Farmington, and the former Patricia Bandzak, daughter of John and Genevieve Bandzak of Brookfield, were united in marriage on Aug. 8, 1964. They met while both were 4-H members and participating in the county and state fairs.
Dick graduated from Wilmington College, and taught high school industrial arts. After retiring from teaching, he took a job as a district sales manager for a large seed corn company while also farming.
Pat graduated from Ohio State University in nursing and taught in the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing until the school closed. She then worked at Robinson Memorial Hospital’s Emergency room in Ravenna, until retirement.
They both remained active in 4-H as leaders when their two children, Bill and Sherry, were members. The couple also has four grandchildren.
They took a Hawaiian cruise earlier this summer to celebrate the occasion with Bruce, Sherry, Lindsey and Lauren.
