Marino 50th

Dom and Bernice Marino will celebrate 50 years of marriage on July 11, 2014.

Dom, son of the late Philomena and John Marino of Niles, and the former Bernice Bogden, daughter of the late Ann Gnat Bogden and Walter Bogden of Warren, were married July 11, 1964, in Mount Carmel Church in Niles.

They have one daughter, Molly.

Bernice began teaching Latin and English at Champion High School and then went on to Howland High School, ending her career in 1998 as a high school guidance counselor.

Dom taught at Francis Willard Elementary School, was later a World of Work coordinator and retired from being an occupational work adjustment coordinator for Warren City Schools in 1992.

Dom has been a Realtor since 1977 and together with Bernice as a team since 1994. Together they spent 69 years in education and 57 in real estate. They have both received various awards in education and real estate.

They have been active in numerous community groups and enjoy volunteering. They are active members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Dom is an usher while Bernice is a lector.

The couple celebrated their anniversary last fall with a Grand European riverboat trip to the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Hungary and Czechoslavakia, and recently renewed their vows at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
