Karen Hesselman and Parker Scrafford were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held April 20, 2013, at Whispering Oaks Ranch, Moab, Utah. The Rev. Tim Stempel officiated.

A reception was held following the ceremony at Whispering Oaks Ranch.

The bride is the daughter of Parry and Cathy Hesselman of Warren. Parents of the groom are Bryant and Barb Scrafford of Sandy, Utah.

Marybeth Coffman attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Suzanne Turner, sister of the bride, and Elizabeth Leininger, sister of the bride.

Performing the duties of best lady for her brother was Ryann Scrafford. Groomsmen were Ben Stoddard and Jared McIntrye.

The new Mrs. Scrafford is a graduate of Howland High School and received a degree in parks and recreation administration from Indiana University, Ind. She is employed as director of Elements Wilderness Program, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mr. Scrafford graduated from Brighton High School, Utah, Lewis and Clark College, Oregon and the University of Utah Nursing School. He is employed as a registered nurse at the Primary Children’s Hospital, Salt Lake City.

Following a honeymoon to Costa Rica the couple resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
