Kristen Marie Mellott and Michael Jordan Yacovone were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held June 22, 2013, at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown. The Rev. Carl Kish was celebrant.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
The bride is the daughter of Lee and Joyce Mellott of Cortland. Parents of the groom are Jordan and Lori Yacovone of Austintown.
Nicole Rigby attended the bride as matron of honor, while Rochelle Thomas served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Beatty, Jenna Yacovone, Casey Vastag, Kayla Gilliland and Jenelle Lucante. Sydney Platt was flower girl.
Performing the duties of best man for the groom was Nick Yacovone. Groomsmen were Mark Mellott, Steve Yacovone, Shane Roche, Joe McHenry, Bob Melnek and John Burnich. Connor Platt served as ring bearer.
The new Mrs. Yacovone graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in business and organizational communication / public relations. She is employed as director of marketing and sales at Great Improvements in Cortland.
Mr. Yacovone graduated from The University of Akron School of Law with a juris doctor. He is employed as a criminal defense attorney in Akron and Youngstown.
Following a honeymoon to the Riveria Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Cornersburg.
