Elizabeth A. Ellers of New York, N.Y., and Eugene D. Gulland of Adie, Va., were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held June 29, 2013, at the Church of Our Saviour in Leesburg, Va. The Rev. Elijah B. White officiated.
Scripture readings were given by the bride’s brother, Andrew Reay-Ellers of Lake Forest Park, Wash., and Molly Gaston, the groom’s daughter, of Chevy Chase, Md.
A party was held following the ceremony at Mount Pleasant Farm, the groom’s home near Addie, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Martha Ellers of Warren. She is a 1977 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of the Warren City Schools’ Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. She received a bachelor’s degree with honors from Goucher College and earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Chicago.
She is executive vice president, corporate research, for Univision Communications Inc. in New York.
The groom is the son of the late George R. and Virginia Fisher Gulland. He graduated from Princeton University, where he was a Princeton University Scholar and a Woodrow Wilson School Scholar and from Yale Law School.
He is a partner of Covington and Burling, a law firm in Washington, D.C. Mr. Gulland also served as a captain in the U.S. Army.
The couple will divide their time between New York, Washington and Aldie. They plan an autumn honeymoon to Turkey.
