Artists of Mahoning Commons open studio

The Artists of the Mahoning Commons and Friends will have an open studio and sale this weekend.

The event will include painting, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, fiber art, glass, soap, mixed-media, drawing, prints, photography and custom woodwork. Author Christopher Barzak will be signing copies of his latest collection, “Before and Afterlives.”

Participating artists include Marcie Applegate, Tony Armeni, Nea Bristol, Rich Berg, Steve Bobovnick, Maryanne Caleris, Lynn Cardwell, Christina D’Angelo, Robert Dennick Joki, Jen Krezeczowski, Mary Learman, Maryann Cox-Limmer, Nick Levinsky, Robyn Maas, Sharon Meenachan, Tony Nicholas, Scott Pergande, Sandpiper Soap Co., Tracy Segreti, Jason Van Hoose, Noreen Yazvac and Bill Youngman.

Tours of furniture maker J. L. Treharn and Co. Inc. will be offered at 2 p.m. each day.

The show runs from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Ward Bakery Building, 1024 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. Admission is free. Additional information is available at
