Eastwood Expo Center hosts pet show, sale this weekend

Northeast Ohio Pet Expo Show & Sale returns to the Eastwood Expo Center on Saturday and Sunday.

The event, billed as the largest pet expo between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, will feature trainers, retailers, groomers, pet food manufacturers, pet resorts and lodges, pet service specialists, pet apparel, pet photographers, animal charities and other exhibitors.

A Pet Look-Alike Contest is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday and a Pet Fashion Show starts at 1 p.m. Sunday. Animal communicator Doris Straka will do seminars and one-on-one sessions both days, and the expo also will feature pets available for sale, rescue and adoption.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Expo Center, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. Admission is $5 for adults with children ages 12 and younger admitted free. Pets are encouraged to attend as long as they are friendly around other animals, and their owners are responsible for them at all times.
