Dooley 50th

Tom and Cathy Dooley of Niles celebrated their 50th anniversary on Oct. 7, 2012, with a renewal of their marriage vows, officiated by Pastor Chalmers Perkins, and a celebration dinner at Ciminero’s Banquet Center in Niles.

The couple’s four children, Susan, Timothy, Christine and Pamela, were hosts, along with their seven grandchildren, five great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.

Tom and the former Cathy Laase were married Oct. 6, 1962, in Bedford. They have lived in the Trumbull County area since 1966.

Tom retired from General Motors in Lordstown in 2003 after 33 years of service. He also joined the Air Force Reserve as a intelligence specialist at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, retiring in 2003 with 33 years of service. He is now owner / operator of Grandpa’s Sports and Gaming Cards in Niles.

Cathy has worked various jobs including secretary and is now employed as a pharmacy technician at Troutman Drug Store.

Tom and Cathy will travel to Mountaineer Resort to continue their 50-year celebration.
