Group returns with something new, Blue
Blue Man Group returns to Cleveland’s PlayhouseSquare for a week-long run.
The current tour features new sound, set and video design created for proscenium-style theaters in a show that mixes new content with classic Blue Man favorites.
Blue Man Group creates experiences that defy categorization. Blue Man Group is best known for multi-media performances that feature three bald and blue characters who take the audience on a journey that has been called funny, intelligent and visually stunning. A live band, whose tribal rhythms help drive the show to its climax, accompanies the Blue Men.
The show has expanded to permanent productions in six cities, touring units in the U.S. and Canada and a show aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Epic. The group has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “Ellen” and “Regis & Kelly,” and it has been incorporated into storylines on “Scrubs” and “Arrested Development.” Its music has been nominated for a Grammy Award.
Blue Man Group performances are scheduled Tuesday through Feb. 17 at the Palace Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, 1519 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range from $10 to $70 and are available by 216-241-6000 and online at playhousesquare.org.
