Carrie Keenan of Howland and Matthew Wittenauer of Augusta, Ga., were united in marriage on Sept. 8, 2012.

The Rev. J. Nicholas Mager Jr. officiated the wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.

The couple accepted congratulations at a reception that evening at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Parents of the bride are Timothy and Patti Keenan of Hubbard. Parents of the groom are Mariann Wittenauer of Hubbard and the late John Wittenauer.

Ashley Democko, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Candace Younkins, Katie Ann Heddaeus, and Cassie Neumann, all friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Performing the duties of best man for the groom was John Wittenauer, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Jason Stiver and William Tucciarone, friends of the groom; and Todd Melone, cousin of the groom.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor of science in education and a master of education in higher education administration. She works at Kent State University at Trumbull in Warren as an enrollment management and student services adviser.

The groom earned a bachelor of science in microbiology from The Ohio State University and a certificate in perfusion from the Cleveland Clinic School of Cardiovascular Perfusion. He is employed as certified clinical perfusionist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.

The couple honeymooned in Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, and live in Aurora.
