Scrappers, Jamestown rained out

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – The Mahoning Valley Scrappers scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but in the bottom of the second the game against the Jamestown Jammers was suspended due to rain.

It will be made up as a doubleheader at Russell Diethrick Park today with Tuesday’s game resuming at 5:05 and the nightcap starting 30 minutes after the completion of Game 1.

Juan Herrera drove home Cody Ferrell and Josh McAdams plated Herrera with two outs for the Scrappers’ two early runs.

Mahoning Valley pitcher Luis Lugo, going for his second win, allowed one hit in the first inning. The Scrappers are 2-3 against the Jammers, a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate, in 2013.
