Bristol improves to 23-0 with victory

WARREN – Bristol remained undefeated as it cruised past Bloomfield, 65-15.

Bristol (23-0) set the tone early by outscoring Bloomfield 22-1 in the first quarter.

Chad Oliver and Zak Dibell each scored 10 points for Bristol. Both Jack Mitton and Brandon Lee each scored seven points.

A total of 13 players scored for the Panthers.

Isaiah Noce led Bloomfield with six points.

Bristol will face Jackson-Milton in a Division IV sectional final. The game is on Saturday at Warren G. Harding High School. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.

WESTERN RESERVE 53, HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN 43: STRUTHERS – The Blue Devils dropped 20 points on the Lions in the fourth quarter to clinch a Division IV sectional semifinal win.

Dahon Korda led the way for Western Reserve (9-14), scoring nine of his 15 points in the final 8 minutes. Nolan Synder recorded a game-high 17 points for the Blue Devils in the winning effort.

Western Reserve moves on to play Wellsville in a Division IV sectional final on Saturday at 7:30 p.m in Struthers.

SALEM 69, LAKEVIEW 48: BOARDMAN – Lakeview’s season came to an end after a loss to Salem in the Division II sectional semifinal.

Salem jumped out to a 23-6 first-quarter lead as Lakeview was unable to rally back.

Lakeview’s Brandon Bensing notched a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Salem’s Ryan Busch had a game-high 23 points. Zach Economus chipped in 11 for the Quakers.

Salem takes on Ravenna in the Division II sectional final. The game is on Friday at Boardman High School. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.

LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 53, LEETONIA 34: STRUTHERS – Leetonia will not advance in the Division IV playoffs as it lost to Lake Center Christian in the sectional semifinals.

Ian Sevenich led Leetonia with 11 points. Trevor Rainieri scored 14 points for Lake Center Christian.
