Kennedy beaten by Greenville at Farrell tourney

≤ GREENVILLE (Pa.) 71, JOHN F. KENNEDY 57: FARRELL, PA — A consistent game by Greenville (Pa.) gave John F. Kennedy the loss. Despite John F. Kennedy (2-2) hitting seven 3-pointers to Greenville’s one, the Eagles couldn’t get it done. Tyler James led the way for JFK with 20 points while B.J. Williams had 11 points to go along with James. For Greenville, Joe Blatt led all scorers with 32 points including going 16-17 from the free throw line. Greenville had three guys in double figures in the win while JFK had four guys reach double figures.

≤ SOUTH RANGE 61, URSULINE 38: YOUNGSTOWN — Mike Cunningham had a game-high 20 points to lead the Raiders past the Irish.

Ben Irons added 14 points in the victory for South Range (5-0).

Vince Armeni led the Ursuline (0-2) with 10 points.

≤ CANTON CENTRAL CATHOLIC 42, CARDINAL MOONEY 36: YOUNGSTOWN — In a tightly-contested contest between Canton Central Catholic and Cardinal Mooney, Canton Central got the win. Mooney (0-4) struggled to find the basket just as Canton Central did. The biggest difference in the game was free throws as Canton hit 10 to Mooney’s two. Pete Hass led the Cardinals with 10 points while Shepard led all scorers for Canton with 13.
