Early run lifts Badger over Rockets
¯ BADGER 48, MAPLEWOOD 40: MECCA — Badger used a late third-quarter run to pull away from the Rockets in a Northeastern Athletic Conference victory.
Rebecca Litz scored six of her 10 points in the decisive third quarter, when the Braves outscored Maplewood 19-13 to take an 11-point lead. Paige Kramar scored a game-high 14 points for Badger.
Heidi Stiffler notched a double-double for Maplewood (1-3, 0-2) with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Letcher scored a team-best 12 points, and Madison Murray added 11.
¯ McDONALD 52, LOWELLVILLE 32: McDONALD — Samantha Homa had a game-high 26 points to lead McDonald over Lowellville.
Britney Smith added 13 points for the Blue Devils (4-1, 1-0 Inter Tri-County League, Blue Tier).
Faith Borer led Lowellville with 13 points.
¯ MINERAL RIDGE 40, SEBRING 27: MINERAL RIDGE — Alexa Harkins had 16 points to lead Mineral Ridge past Sebring in ITCL Blue Tier play.
The Rams improve to 4-0.
Cheyenne Tuttle had 11 points for the Trojans.
¯ JACKSON-MILTON 47, WESTERN RESERVE 33: NORTH JACKSON — Emily Williams led three Jackson-Milton players in double figures as the Blue Jays beat ITCL Blue Tier rival Western Reserve.
Michaelina Terranova had 13 points, while Katelyn Totani added 11 for Jackson-Milton (5-0, 1-0 ITCL Blue).
Alexis Hughes paced the Blue Devils (2-3, 0-1) with nine points.
¯ WINDHAM 47, CAMPBELL 28: CAMPBELL — Cali Apthorpe had 15 points to lead the Bombers past the host Red Devils.
Lexi Knight added 11 points for Windham (4-0).
Johnson had 10 for Campbell.
¯ MATHEWS 50, LIBERTY 33: LIBERTY — Mathews’ Kat Schubert had 13 points to lead a trio of double-figure scores in a non-conference game at Liberty.
The Mustangs had Paige Sponsler (12) and Morgan Williams (10) also in double figures.
Mathews rallied from a 19-17 halftime deficit to lead 38-26 after three quarters.
Delia Watson led the Leopards with 14 points.
¯ GRAND VALLEY 53, PYMATUNING VALLEY 37: ANDOVER — Leah Patterson had 14 points to lead Grand Valley past Pymatuing Valley in Northeastern Athletic Conference play.
Abby Trisket had three 3-pointers, the only three of the game, for 11 points for the Mustangs (3-3, 1-1 NAC).
Madison Hurst paced the Lakers (2-3, 1-2) with 13 points.
